Naples Cinematheque will be presenting a classic favorite projected onto their large boutique state of art screen.  Along with the movie presentation, the owner of Naples Cinematheque will be adding a short presentation of his own.  Bring comfortable seating and a drink of choice, popcorn and treats will be provided by your Lifestyle Team.

NAPLES CINEMATHEQUE will be a boutique, state-of-the art, three screen repertory and revival theater
offering an alternative cinema. Coming to Naples, Florida in 2025 within the heart of the city’s growing
Bayshore Arts District, the theater will screen a different vintage film title every day and celebrate each
one as if it’s a “new” release. The company recognizes that films that have been seen 20, 30, or even 40
years ago can offer something completely “new” to audiences upon revisiting. During this golden age of
film restoration, Naples Cinematheque aims to provide an opportunity to experience the legacy of
cinema like no other generation has had before. Naples Cinematheque will be equipped to support both
digital and 35mm films that might be unavailable in any other formats or streaming services. The theater

About David Garonzik (Full/1349)
David Garonzik was born in Queens, New York, and studied film at Brooks Institute of Photography,
U.C.S.B., and U.C.L.A. For more than 30 years, he was a studio screening room manager and operator for
some of the most prestigious venues in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington D.C. Fascinated by film,
Garonzik studied to be a skilled projectionist, perfecting his craft at his first job in Washington, D.C. at the
age of 17. He would eventually move on to film festivals, operating dozens of highly-regarded events,
including the Hamptons International Film Festival and Palm Springs International Film Festival. It was at
Palm Springs that he was invited by Miramax to manage their new screening room built for Quentin
Tarantino. While running Miramax’s screening room, Garonzik screened “The Harder They Come” for the
first time and it became a cinema mantra for him.
Garonzik later managed and operated the screening room business for Dick Clark Productions for more
than a decade, where he earned a reputation for offering the highest standard in theater presentation.
His credits include the film “Ghost In The Shell” and the Academy Award-winning film, “The Revenant,”
among many others. Garonzik recently left his post at MRC (formerly Dick Clark Productions) managing
their screening facilities to relocate with his wife to Naples, Florida.
